Event Rules

Attendance

While we do not ask you to attend all events but certainly welcome it, we do require you to at least attend 3 out of 5 events a week with at least one being a sky event or dynamis, if you unable to do this in some situations special conditions may be made. If you are unable to meet this attendance policy not only will you be unable to lot but you will receive a warning the first time, continued poor attendance can lead to breaking of pearl. If you do not have access to sea you can be excused from one of the 3 required events provided that you are actively working on CoP missions during that event. If attendance can not follow these guidelines due to real life issues *work, vacation, otherwise* please contact a leader and make sure we know of the situation as we do understand that real life is more important than FFXI. If there is a time where someone is unable to attend ls events for 1 month or more, their will be a probationary period from using points to bid for exactly 1 week if 1 month, 2 weeks for 2+ months, there will be no point penalties otherwise.

Conduct

A member's conduct is more important than available jobs or performance. To that end, inflammatory remarks, disrespect, and other general asshattery will not be tolerated. Racism, "gay-bashing," and overt religious prejudice will result in instant dismissal. Other conduct infractions, such as being rude, abusive, or deliberately argumentative will result in a warning from a leader. If that member continues to be abrasive despite the warning, they will be removed from LS.

LS leadership encourages the open discussion of all topics, game-related or otherwise. However, if a leader feels that any topic has become too heated or simply that it has run its course, that leader may request the discussion be moved to private chat. Refusal to do so will result in one(1) warning before the offending member(s) are removed from LS.

We run on a 3 strike rule for warnings in ls, 2 warnings then kicked from LS.

LS Policy Discussion

Leaders welcome any and all comments or suggestions about current LS policy. However, there is a time and place. LS leaders will not discuss policy during an event except to answer a specific question related to the event at hand. If a member wishes to raise concern about any policy, please do so in private chat at a non-event time. This is not to discourage anyone to speak their mind, but rather to keep the LS focused and on-task during events.

Exceptional Situations

When any situation arises that is either not explicitly or not adequately covered in these rules, it will be the responsibility of the leaders present to handle it. Later, all leaders will discuss an appropriate permanent solution that might not necessarily be how it was handled initially.

Convolution of Rules (or Getting over on the LS)

If it becomes apparent that any member at any time is using the LS rules in a manner designed to swindle or inflict grief upon the LS as a whole or an individual member, that member will be immediately terminated.

Powers of Leaders

Leaders are designated with having pearlsack status in LS. These people have volunteered their time to help with LS coordination and overall leader responsibilities disciplinary or otherwise. Leaders have the right to revoke a member pearl at any time to control a situation where rules are being broken or direct insubordination. This is likely to be a permanent break unless extreme circumstances may have affected the player.

Item Distribution

Havoc works on a point-based drop system. What this means is that instead of leaders designating drops on their will, drops will be determined based on an auction based system using points you have accumulated by attending ls events to win lots on gear, limits to lotting are that we ask you must be 70+ for sky/sea equip drops and 65+ for relic equipment drops, also there is a minimum amount of points you can bid on items depending on which event the bidding occurs in. For City Dynamis and Sky gods and Sea Gods this is 10 points, for Kirin, Ultima, and Omega, and Outland Dynamis this is 15pts, also there is a minimum bid of 50pt for Kirin's Osode and 100 for Novio Earring due to their value. If an item is not bid on it will not go free lot, if a person is still interested in obtaining said item they can lot on item but by doing so agree to auto bid half of minimum bid, if you do not agree to lotting half minimum at this point you should immediately pass. Items should NOT auto sort to a persons inventory, if it does autosort to your inventory you will lose points as though you did the half minimum bid, the only time this policy is not in effect is if it is an AF known to have no interest such as a job no one is ls has or an AF we obtain often. If an item goes to free lot and the only member who would like the item does not possess enough points, that member can go "negative" on points to acquire the item, but will not be allowed to lot on another item until they are "positive" on points again.

In order for any member to receive or bid on items, the official "owner" of that character must be present at the event. Giving account info to another player so that you can get an item without attending the event will not be permissible.

This promotes fairness by disallowing favoritism as well as promoting high attendance. Sell able items and dynamis currency will go towards the LS bank to fund dynamis, uncursings of abjurations *50% payment by vault*, and payouts using points at the end of every month. Pop NMs and AF+1 will not follow the bidding system, pop NMs will follow a random for pop item usage, AF+1 if you have the corresponding AF+1 item you will get priority on the matching item, if no one has the opposing item, it will be free lotted to those who can make use. Ancient Beastcoins will be lotted by a designated leader and disbursed evenly at end of the limbus run, any spare coins will be stored in ls vault till the next limbus run and added to the disbursement of that run, omega/ultima Ancient Beastcoins will be stored for the next normal limbus run.

Points

Points are gained by attending LS events and are used to bid on items dropped by NMs that the LS will fight or to cash out points at the end of the month to receive gil from the LS vault. There will be a 300 point cap, this is to disallow point hording as it dilutes cash outs and allows for possibly bully tactics, if a person reaches the 300pt cap, they will be reduced to 200pt and immediately cashed out for 100pt based on the most recent cash out value, if you have points currently dedicated towards a bid, they will not count towards your 300pt cap, but after the event they are used for passes, if the unlocking puts you above the 300pt cap you will be cashed out.

Bidding System
These points are used by doing a silent auction for said items. This silent auction is done by private messaging Kikaru or a designated leader or /telling said person what item and how many points you wish to bid on said item anytime while the event is posted on calender up until the start of the event, you can change this bid at anytime until the event starts, once the event has started bids are locked. In the case of a tie, the people who has tied will lot off on the drop if/when it drops. In the case where you choose to bid on multiple items in one event *particularly sky/sea farming* any points used for one bid cannot be used to bid on further items. Example: A member with 100 points may bid 20pts on 5 individual items, but not 100pts for each of 5 items.

Bidding for sky god items will require that a member has fully attended at least 1 sky-farming event or dynamis event the previous week.
This gives all members 3 chances to attend an event within the two weeks leading up to "god night."

Cash Outs
Every first week of the month, a Value of X Gil per point will be calculated based on surplus gil in LS vault and overall amount of points each LS member has, this value will be locked in for that week and a /tell to a Leader concerning your cash out will have you your specified cash out by the next LS event. This cash out system is to encourage members of the ls who may normally not get gear to still get benefits by having high participation or to help members get gear that they may otherwise have difficulties affording.

Point Values

2 points per hour sky farming
2 points per god fight
4 points per Kirin
4 points per Dynamis with an additional 2 points for being on time.
4 points for non-Sky/Dynamis event
8 points for those who attend pop NM/KS99 but did not receive items or use pop item

As people with sea compose of a smaller group compared to rest of ls, point system for them is separate and can not be used for cash outs.
